Integrating the elements of life, production, and ecology, the farm insists on growing healthy and safe fruits. Grapes are grown in both the open fields and green houses, using the natural farming methods of “bagging management,” “vegetative cultivation”, and “safe applications of pesticide.”

The Paradise of Wild Birds Travel south from Lukang Township along Tai 17 Expressway (coastal Expressway) and travel west to Xingsheng Road of Fuxing Township. Or, you can continue traveling south to Lane 485, Fanghan Road, Fangyuan Township and then turn right to Fubao Wetland and Hanbao Wetland respectively. These two wetlands are a paradise for wild birds. Under the efforts of bird lovers, the wild birds finally have their own homes and these two areas have also become the best bird-watching destinations in the Changhua area. Currently, a section of protective fence and several bird-watching cabins have been set up at Fubao Wetland and the surrounding area is a mangrove field under restoration. Volunteer guides are also available on the holidays. Several species of birds are seen all year round, including Ruddy-breasted Crake, wren warblers, and red turtle dove, as well as several species of migratory birds, like little tern and redshank. Through a telescope, the bird-watchers can also see the egrets extending their long necks searching for food by the rice paddies or the moorhens strolling leisurely in the pond. It is an enchanting sight that will make you want to come back again. Oyster Farmers The tidal belt makes the Fubao Wetland a perfect place for oyster farming. The small cabins standing in the middle of the sea are the guarding posts of the oyster farmers. This tidal belt zone sees a 4 or 5-meter drop in water every day. So, be careful while you are having fun here because when the tide rises, even the road can be submerged. Of course, you can buy fresh oysters from the farmers to take home or just borrow someone's kitchen to cook up some sesame oil oyster soup for instant enjoyment. The fresh and sweet taste will make you want to come back for more. In the over 20 hectares of wetlands in Fuxing Township, 7 hectares are planted with mangrove and another water plant- called Kujianlan (myoporum bontioides) in Chinese. A plastic net fence is set up as a bird-watching wall and a bicycle track has been planned to develop this area into a full-fledged recreational center (abstracted from Changhua County Government [2003] Changhua County Recreational Agriculture Destination Guide).

There are nearly 40 excellent volunteers in the hall that are well trained to lead the guided tours. They take duty shifts to provide guided tours for tourists and are the marvelous force of promoting the tourism and recreation of Ershui Township.
