City of historic monuments
Changhua is a city with rich cultural ambiance. Since its inception in the first year of Yongzheng Period in Qing (1723), the county now has a history of more than 290 years, earning it the laudatory title of the “City of Historic Monuments”. The county’s abundant cultural assets, national historic monuments, municipal historic monuments, historic buildings and cultural landscapes include: Changhua Railway Round House, Changhua Confucius Temple, Singsian Tutorial Academy in Yuanlin, Chen Family Abode (Yiyuan House) in Masing, Daodong Tutorial Academy in Hemei, Baozang Temple in Fenyuan, Longshan Temple in Lugang and Yu Jen Jai.For additional information, please refer to
