Situated on Baguashan, the Black Rooster Restaurant opened in 1992 and started as a black-feathered free-range chicken farm. Having rented the building for a decade, the owner has converted it into an English Tudor-style Western building, where abundant Chinese cypress tables and chairs are used to create a high-quality dining environment. Local food ingredients combined with game and wild vegetables are the trademarks of the Black Rooster, the most characteristic restaurant in central Taiwan.
