Founded in year 15 of Showa Period (1940) by Chang-Yu, Huang, the father of Tsai-Hsing, Huang, the bakery is now in the hands of the 3rd generation proprietor. Over the course of six decades, Changxing Bakery has retained outstanding texture and quality for its products, which are handmade in accordance with ancient, proprietary technique and recipe. From the crust, ingredients to the filling, impeccable presentation and exquisite quality are demanded, creating delightful delicacies that exude the chef’s affection towards pastries.
Products include: phoenix eye cake, double layered pudding, black sesame cake, ox tongue-shaped pastry, dragon’s eye cake, phoenix cake, mochi cake, steamed savory cake, handmade nougat and sesame cake, milk cake, garlic pastry and laopo cake.
