The secret to the crispy cakes offered by this store lies in the special molds. The owner’s day job is in the die casting trade, therefore when his wife wanted to start a cake business, he applied his skills to design adorable cartoon molds for her. There are more than a dozen sets of molds (two styles per set) on the oven, and they are turned over constantly on a regular basis to ensure even baking.
