Jiou Long Jai’s second-generation heir Dong-Chen Li and his wife are both devoted to pastries and their most popular product is the “cow tongue shaped cookies”. The owner insists in baking the cookies personally; after they are baked, the cookies exuberate a mouthwatering aroma, while its crunchy crust is perfectly complemented by the soft, smooth filling. In winter, “mullet roe becomes” the store’s unique product.
simply heat up the mullet roe mildly and cut into slices, they can be served with chopped radish or scallions to create the most magnificent flavor.
It is no wonder that former President Shui-Bian Chen designated the mullet roe as one of the dishes at the state banquet in 2002!
