The shop has been in operation for quite a long time and was originally a subcontract manufacturer for Hsinchu and Puli rice flour noodle brands. Its production capacity, however, still relies heavily on orders from farmers’ associations in Hsinchu and Puli. Besides being a subcontract manufacturer, the shop is also developing its own brand, using a mixture of Chinese yam and pumpkin ingredients to produce a new type of rice flour noodle which is different from other noodles in that it is directly made from whole grains of rice, instead of rice milk or rice powder.
Using the brand name of Feng Keng Rice Flour Noodle, the shop accepts retail orders from around the country.
Its main clients are still the farmers’ associations in Hsinchu and Puli, while customers who shop on the spot and who purchase individually or make group purchases on-line also contribute to the growth of its revenues.
