Founded in 1944 by Mr. Tou Yang, Yang Zai Tou Mutton hot pot store is now in the hands of the third generation descendent Zhi-Hong Yang. With a history of many years, the old store’s signature dishes are “Chinese herbal mutton hot pot” and “Ginger mutton hot pot”. Other favorites include stir-fried mutton, tripe, heart, and more. The secret to the deliciousness of Yan Zai Tou’s mutton is its freshness, where neutered goats weighing roughly 60kg are selected.
The store offers nation-wide express delivery service, even as far as Taitung and Penghu, making it a renowned old mutton hot pot store in Xihu.
The mutton is complemented by the store’s proprietary Chinese herb condiments to prepare the well-known delicacy.
