Daughter-in-Law’s House is a small restaurant located inside the Tianwei Highway Garden that features simple, elegant garden landscape. The restaurant owner does not conduct any marketing, relying on word of mouth to attract customers. Calling herself everyone’s daughter-in-law, the lay owner serves each table attentively. Although the one-man kitchen becomes inundated with work with the constant flow of patrons, the lady owner always wears a smile on her face, and each dish served is prepared with the utmost attention to detail, even in the tiny dishes of pickles.
The sun-dried cabbages, cauliflowers as well as sautéed shredded pork in sweet bean sauce, Chinese cured pork and Peking duck are truly delectable dishes, demonstrating the skill of the chef.
媳婦的家位於田尾公路花園區內,是一間占地不大的小餐館,庭園造景簡單雅致,媳婦的家沒有特別行銷,靠得是口耳相傳。
自稱為每位客人的媳婦的老闆娘,對待每桌客人都用心招待,只有一個人在張羅的廚房,在不斷湧進的客人下,忙得不可開交,但老闆娘的笑容始終沒有變過,每端一道佳餚出來,都是最用心的料理,小從一碟碟醬菜,都能看出老闆娘的細心。
自己動手曬的高麗菜乾、花椰菜乾,及京肉、臘肉、京鴨等都一手包辦,每道菜餚都相當美味,功夫了得。
一碗雞湯中的花椰菜乾,不同一般吃到的,連已經入湯,都能保有脆度,京鴨皮香肉入味,不用沾任何醬汁本身就能讓人驚呼連連,簡單的麵線在用心製作的老闆娘手中,亦能大放異彩。
甜點雪花糕外表樸實但現作的新鮮度,一入口便被口中溫度融化。
每道端出來的料理都是絕品,一時之間,竟無法推薦出招牌菜,這就是用愛、用心作料理的老闆娘才能。
