Honglin Garden Café was referred to the writer by poet Cheng Wu. The owner also runs a horticulture business, hence the restaurant is elegantly decorated. The restaurant was a gathering ground for environmentalists in Taiwan in the old days. The owner has retained the old architecture and constructed a restaurant next to it, serving gourmet dishes. Each course offers simple, wonderful flavors that highlight the essence of the ingredients because the chef has avoided using excessive seasoning, thereby ensuring healthy and delicious taste.
