Taiwanese meatball store outside the Beidou Mazu Temple – Heritage of four generations
The four historical centers of commerce in Taiwan include “Tainan (Taiwanfu), Lukang, Taipei (Manka), and Beidou (Boudou)”. Beidou Township was once a flourishing city in Taiwan, often associated with Taiwanese meatballs. Fan’s Beidou Taiwanese meatball outside the Mazu Temple has a history of more than 4 decades. Now in the hands of the 4th generation descendant, the 3rd generation proprietor, Mr. Jui-Ming, Fan’s kindness has become the trademark of the meatball store.

Taiwanese meatballs are handmade, and thus there are 3 pinch marks on the outside of the translucent dough wrapper. The filling consists of pork and bamboo shoots. Drizzled with the exclusive sauce, the chewy wrapper and rich filling make the Taiwanese meatball a mouthwatering delicacy that is complemented well with tofu soup or meat ball soup.
