Attraction sites特色
Puxin Church of Luotso (Luocuo Catholic Church) was established in 1875. Luocuo resident, Tu Xin, made at trip to Kaohsiung and invited Father Vinte Gomar from the Saint Dominic Church to come to Luocuo. In a civilian house, the church began its work to help those in need and an orphanage was established. After the church was on the track, Father Omar bought the land of the current site in 1877 for 100 dollars. In 1882, Father Celedonio Arranz took over and built the first church structure. It was the earliest Catholic church in central Taiwan.

In 1906, an earthquake devastated the Yunlin, Chiayi, and Changhua areas and the original church structure was damaged. In 1912, Father Manuel Prat built the second church structure with Fuzhou fir and Formosan Cypress. In 1975- the first centennial celebration of the church, the old structure was torn down and rebuilt into the third generation structure. The construction project was completed in 1996. Currently the church is a structure of over 6600m2 and has the capacity to take in 200 persons at the same time. The structure of the Church of Luotsuo (Puxin Township) was a red brick Southern Fujian style architecture and its exterior was built with ungrouted red bricks. This architecture was designated as a historic landmark on April 10, 2002 and is now a museum of the history of the Catholic Church in Luocuo. Spectacular The Church of Luotso-1
