Changhua County Art Museum is a modern steel structure with oblique columns branching out in varied directions, a design inspired by Baguashan’s signature images of bamboo grooves and traditional mullioned windows seen locally. Three rooftop terraces at different heights are at one with the ecological environment of Baguashan and the atmosphere surrounding the Hall of Martial Virtues, presenting a tension between nature and culture, and between historical structures and modern cultural buildings.
