Huanxi Ecological Park is a private ecological park promoting environmental education, conservation, and hiking. There are about 900 indigenous and foreign plants including trees and shrubs, and about 20 species of nectar plants and larval food plants for butterflies. It is a self-guided low latitude botanical garden open to the public.
Huanxi Ecological Park’s parameter is defined by the trail, and it is divided into 14 sections. Except for the trail, no weeding, spraying of chemicals, or chemical fertilizers is carried out. In 2001, the Tri-Mountain National Scenic Area improved the trail and steps using ecological engineering, thereby creating a diverse space that is close to nature and wilderness, leading to the formation of a complete natural ecological environment.
