The police station was built with reinforced concrete whose roof is western wooden house rack. At present, it is used as a dormitory and a storage room. Beside the police station is an observatory that is rare in other places. The observatory witnesses the changing coastlines along Lukang and Changhua region. Its exterior wall that can defense the wind and sun was constructed with stonewashing technique that was brought in by Japanese from the West during the Japanese colonization period. Its air-raid shelter in the courtyard, which is a meaningful historical site, has been conserved from the second World War.
