The old temple was listed as a national monument in 1983. However, since it has not been renovated for long and has to cope with the rebuild of the front hall, it was then moved to Taiwan Folk Village. Soon the front-hall expansion construction began and was completed in 2003. The 5 Qing dynasty soft body Mazu and the thousand-year cypress sacred Guanyin Buddha are important historical artifacts.
