Originally, it was the officials’ quarters for the Yuanlin Town Office. It was a kind of semi-detached house for regular officials. Now, it is managed and used by the Changhua Police Department. These Japanese-style houses are preserved intact. In these premises, historical documents and relics, including hats, uniforms, hand crank phones, fire extinguishers, and old photos from different periods of the police are collected and exhibited. These exhibited items provide people with the opportunities to see the historic development of the police.
