14-acre wild in total, the park is a diverse garden that has modern facilities such as the .newly-built automatic seedling glowing fields, tropical plum blossom, cherry blossom, seeds, flower pot, grape flower rack and seedling pot area. In order to ensure easy access for the visitors to view the various types of plants in the park, wooden paths and large parking lot are available to their convenience.
Fangyuan Township’s Flower Production and Marketing Group leader Chou-Fu Chang is dedicated to the improvement of orchards and flowers. As the leader of the First Flower Production and Marketing Group in Flower Production and Marketing Group, Chou-Fu Chang’s horticulture and seedling nursery produces plum blossom, tropical plum, peach, cherry blossom, persimmon seedling, and rootstock. He specializes in the application of horticultural techniques, helping to reduce production management risks and costs.
In a bid to improving seedlings’ quality and diversify the product lineup, group leader Chang has constantly researched for innovative cultivation technologies. In addition to adopting automated nursing facilities to shorten the nursing process, he also stores seeds at low temperature in refrigerated facilities. Furthermore, he designed the high/low temperature refrigerator and utilized vernalization technique to ensure that the supply of seedlings will not be interrupted throughout the year. By using new lawnmowers to remove weeds and apply sod culture, he is able to minimize labor requirements and improve work efficiency by 35%. In addition to developing persimmon and cherry blossom seedlings suitable for cultivation at low elevations, he also researched the diverse cultivation of tropical plums to produce dwarf potted plums. He also developed the petite but stunning potted cherry blossoms.
