Known to locals as Master Song Lin, Songlin, Li (1907-1999) started his wood carving career since 12 (1918), received the first Award of Folk Art by the Ministry of Education in 1985 and was again recognized as the Important Culture Arts Teacher by the Ministry of Education in 1989.
