With more than sixty years of development, the domestic plumbing industry has congregated at Tingfan Village (previously known as “Din Fan Po”), Lukang Township. More than eight hundred manufacture facilities were active at its peak development, covering all industry chains and supplying domestically and foreign countries. This won Lukang the name “The Country of the Faucet” and made it a characteristic industrial cluster.
The Plumbing Association of Taiwan created the Taiwan Institute for Plumbing Innovation to present:
1. History corridor introduces the sixty-year history of plumbing industry in Taiwan provided the general public with the information of plumbing development; 2. A demonstration zones for innovative plumbing excellence and technology that allows trialing of innovative products; 3. A DIY zone for on-hand practice of home plumbing maintenance, providing the visitors with the technique of self-service; 4. A DIY excellence internet marketing zone offering self-serviceable products to visitors; 5. A plumbing excellence exhibition zone displaying representative plumbing products from approximately 50 professional suppliers including specially made and prized designs.
