Tiaoshui Trail (Water-Porters' Trail) was one of the old trails connecting Dazhu and Xitou Villages of Fenyuan Township. In Qing Dynasty, the road system was not fully developed. To solve the problem of water for domestic use, the earlier settlers began to search for water sources. At this very location, a spring with abundant water was found. Thus, two wells were dug for the village residents. This trail was the road, through which the village residents transport their water. This trail can be accessed from the Japanese archway by No. 159 Sec. 1 Yuancao Road Fenyuan Township. The full length is approximately 2km, featuring thick Lychee and Longgan woods, the “sky ladder”, pergolas, and old wells. The eco-system in this area is also quite well developed. It is also a good place for bird watching.
