Jaboticaba is also known as Myrciaria cauliflora or Brazilian Grape Tree, it was originally cultivated in South America and was imported to Taiwan by Modern Garden Jabuticaba Co., Ltd. several years ago. In Taiwan, this is the only place where you can see Jaboticaba. The fruits of Jaboticaba bear a resemblance to grapes and they are grown on the tree trunk and branches; looked at from a distance, the sea of dark purple, plump fruits attached to the tree trunks is truly a sight to behold. The branches of the high quality, old trees are covered in delicate, dense white flowers throughout the year, especially during spring and autumn. After the flowers have withered, the trees will be thriving with fruits, and this is the perfect moment to appreciate them. Visitors arriving at the garden in buses will receive a complimentary Jaboticaba iced refreshment.
The elegantly decorated Modern Garden Jabuticaba Co., Ltd. also features stone sculptures, landscape stones and trees such as Jaboticaba, orange jasmine, osmanthus and camellia.
