Attraction Highlights
Nestled on the Mount Shih-er Fenpu along the northwestern slopes of Mount Bagua within the Tri-Mountain National Scenic Area, the Daling Lane Trail stretches for approximately 1.95 kilometers. This tranquil path combines railroad ties, boardwalks, and natural stone-and-earth tracks, creating a comfortable route for hikers of all levels.
One of its most distinctive features is the floral variety found along its three branching paths: Osmanthus in Line 1, Camellia in Line 2, and Azalea in Line 3. Hikers can follow the fragrance of the flowers as they descend, experiencing a unique seasonal charm throughout the year.
The trail is rich in biodiversity. Look up and you may spot the grey-faced buzzard (Butastur indicus) soaring and diving, its calls echoing through the valley. To protect migrating Purple Crow Butterflies, nectar plants have been deliberately cultivated along the route, forming a captivating “butterfly corridor.”
Several resting spots and scenic pavilions are situated along the way, offering sweeping views of the majestic Baguashan Range. After the hike, travelers can visit nearby attractions such as local starfruit orchards or native chicken restaurants for free-range chicken dishes. This light trail, which takes only about 50 minutes to complete, is an ideal choice for nature appreciation and environmental education.
