Oil Learning House, an experience space, was established in 2020. Continuing the old tradition of selling local made quality oil, Oil Learning House is also a display room and an oil store. In the shop, the process of preparing black sesame and peanuts for making oil are introduced.
On the second floor there is a classroom and conference room for lectures on the knowledge of agriculture and DIY activities related to edible oil manufacturing.
It allows parents and children to learn more about the local traditional industries and ecological environment of Fangyuan from interesting perspectives.
Oil Learning House hopes that consumers can eat healthy oil pressed 100% from natural oil seeds. Therefore, it has established an experience space to enthusiastically share information about the importance of eating good natural oil. With the traditional “black sesame oil” and “peanut oil” as the major points of appeal, it allows Taiwan’s younger generation to learn more about simple food and drink to re-discover the once-familiar Taiwan flavor we are proud of.
From the early 20th century, the generation of our grandfathers, we have been making oil, serving people for about a century. The experienced oil makers continue to make oil using the traditional recipe and experience. The oil pressed here contains no artificial preservatives, essences, and colorants. All the products are certified with SNQ (Symbol of National Quality), passing strict testing in the lab regularly, and they respect the origin of the raw materials and the cooperation with farmers to protect the local farmers and prices in the production area. Farmers in Changhua plough the land in a friendly manner guided by the ideas of sustainable agriculture and long-term operation.
