Fujing Railway Museum is a railway themed museum appearing in the form of a lunchbox cafeteria. It is a feature restaurant in Shetou with plenty of stories. The Chen family, both Chen and his father, have been employees in the Taiwan Railway Association. Working for the TRA, they were exposed to the railway history for a very long time and had the opportunity to obtain railway cultural relics, which have become their collections in the end. Later, Chen learned cooking in Japan and integrated his interests and skills together after returning to Taiwan. He founded this railway restaurant and presents the complete railway theme entirely to visitors.
In the museum, the 1F is a theme cafeteria in a train car, and 2F-3F are the display rooms of railway cultural relics, including a telephone, clock, uniform, notice board, and many big and small railway artifacts. Sometime, when the TRA sponsors exhibitions, it has to borrow some artifacts from Chen. We can see the quantity of railway cultural artifacts displayed here. When visiting Shetou, the railway theme restaurant is a spot you don’t want to miss.
