The old name of Tianzhong Station. Tianzhong yang Station is a simple and crude Japanese building, which referred to the village built at the center of a wild piece of water field. The Tianzhong area used to be a territory of Dawu junshe of Pingpu tribe where a flux of immigrants was invited to develop during Kangxi era and built babao jun to redirect water for the irrigation of the fields. A few years later, there was also 15 village reservoirs built by Huang Shi-Qin. Thus, the area was well developed because of its successful water irrigation development and a village was soon formed in the middle of the water fields, which is how the name originated.
Along the railway, there is wufen car of the “sugar rail “that led to Erlin where the coastal residents transferred trains and formed an important mountain product and sea product trading town. In the old days, around Yuanji road lied numerous shops that sold goods from the north and south.
