As Taiwan Smart Card Corporation cannot secure the rights of card issuing in 2016, Sunshine e-Card issued by this company will be suspended from adding any points after December 31. All the holders – senior citizens and disabled people in Changhua County, can exchange the e-Card for “Changhua Evergreen Citizen Traveler’s Card” for free from October 2015 to the end of February 2016. The iPASS Corporation is providing a card exchanging service. Holders should exchange their cards to continue enjoying riding on Changhua buses at concession price after January 2015.
The holders of Sunshine e-Card are equivalent to holding a store value card; therefore, they must provide their bank books and photocopies of their ID cards to apply for refund. Taiwan Smart Card Corporation will deduct the transaction fees before transferring the money left in the cards to the accounts of the applicants.
People can exchange their e-Cards at the township office, town office or City Office in accordance with the location of their household registration. For Changhua citizens, they can exchange their cards at City Office or at 2F, Department of Social Affairs, Changhua County Government before the end of November. After December, they have to apply for new cards at Changhua City Office. Applicants should have the following items ready: name chop, 2 two-inch photos, the original and a photocopy of their ID cards (for applicants without ID cards, they can apply for with the household certificate), and the original and a photocopy of Sunshine e-Card. For disabled people, they should provide their Disability Cards or certificates, and the photocopies of them when apply for exchanging their cards.
