The lighting party of the “2017 Love in Changhua, Merry Christmas Carnival” instructed by Changhua County government and held by the Song River Social Welfare Association took place on the 26th in the evening. Changhua County Wei, Ming-Ku attended the event and lighted the lights and made wishes with people on-site. It is hoped that the cozy and warm atmosphere will light up Changhua and the friendly and joyful atmosphere will be carried to each resident.

Changhua County, Taichung City, Nantou County and Miaoli County jointly hosted the “2017 Central Taiwan Agriculture Expo” ended successfully on 26th November. This 23-day activity attracted over 810 thousand people to attend. Changhua County Magistrate Wei, Ming-Ku pleasantly welcomed the 800 thousandth participant. Also, the handover ceremony of “2017 Central Taiwan Agriculture Expo” was held on-site, Magistrate Wei transferred the right of hosting the event to the Deputy County Teng, Kuei-chu, and Miaoli County will be the host next year.

Changhua County government has been putting great efforts on promoting the quality of public leisure space and facilities of the parks in the Hemei area, so this year, the government has provided 15 million funding support to Hemei Township in March of 2017 for the space creation and facility improvement of Demei Park in Hemei Township. Currently, Hemei Township has completed the design and the project bidding. The commencement ceremony was held on November 24th (Friday) at 9:30. Many government officials jointly attended the ceremony, including the Deputy County Magistrate Lin Ming-yu who led the colleagues from the government offices, the Head of Hemei Township Ruan Hou-jue, the Head of Lukang Township Huang Chen-yan, the colleagues in the Township office, County Councilor, representative and the borough chiefs of Hemei area, and the designers and constructors of the construction.

The press conference by the “2017 Love in Changhua, Merry Christmas Carnival” instructed by Changhua County government and held by the Song River Social Welfare Association was held on the 23rd, the same day as the western Thanksgiving Day. This year, the light will be activated at 19:30 on November 26th. On December 3rd at 19:30, the activity of light up Changhua was held at the railway station and on December 22nd will be the Christmas Holly Songs blessing. Magistrate Wei welcomes people’s participation to feel the joy and happiness of Christmas.

The “2017 Central Taiwan Agriculture Expo and the International Plants Expo” has attracted 500 thousand visitors on the 19th at 10:19 during the period at Changhua Xizhou Garden. After two days, the number of guests has reached 600 thousand people in the morning on the 21st. The activity will last until November 26th with wonderful experiencing activities. People from all over the nation are welcome to visit Changhua Xizhou Garden.

Changhua County government held the “Changhua Yuanlin No.1, activity of name giving and poll on Facebook” for the flood detention pool in Yuanlin. All citizens of Changhua County are invited to give a great creative name for this infrastructure. The participants will have the opportunity to win 30 thousand dollars!

This year the “2017 Central Taiwan Agriculture Expo” integrated with the International Plant Exhibition took place in Xizhou Garden in Changhua County. Since the first day of the Expo, the average number of visitors was over 30 thousand. The exhibition presents great programs that won the people’s appreciation!

Officially began in the morning on the 19th at Lukang Township Stadium in Changhua County, the Magistrate Wei Ming-ku and the General Director of Erlu Jogging Association Chen, Hsin-chung and the VIP guests fired the starting pistol for this event. The Magistrate Wei expected that the exercising habits can be cultivated through the jogging events. Not only can it enhance people’s health, but they can experience the beauty of Changhua on foot.

The 3rd Session of Changhua Marathon Month has officially started. The “2017 Taiwan Rice Heaven-Tianzhong Marathon” hosted by Changhua County government and Tianzhong Township started on the 12th in the morning at the intersection of Douzhong Road and ZhenZheng Street in front of the Tianzhong Township of Changhua County. Changhua County Magistrate Wei, Ming-Ku, the Head of Tianzhong Township Hsieh, Wen-hsien and the Chairman of Tianzhong Tourism Development Association Zheng Zhong-zheng jointly fired the starting pistol for the marathon.
