The best eco-classroom
"Wanggong Fishing Light" was one of the "Eight Views of Changhua" in the old times. The dwindling of the fishing industry has decimated this wonder. Nonetheless, the immense view of the ocean from the Wanggong Fishing Port view terrace is still a wonder in itself. Before the tide rises, sampans begin to return to the port loaded with oysters. And mud skippers and fiddler crabs greet the visitors at the tidal belt. If you are lucky, you may even find yourself some clams in the mud.

Travel along the dike road behind the Fangyuan Lighthouse towards the Xinbao Village direction; you will see the mangrove field, which has been fully restored by Changhua County's Bureau of Agriculture. The one-meter-tall mangrove field is a perching site for a variety of water birds like the egrets. It is a fantastic nature classroom.
