Shipauan Old Trail:
Route: Chinshuiyian Camping Site → Chianann Bicycle Trail → Hoan Temple → Line 139
Feature: Shipauan Old Trail used to be the shortcut for salt-trade between Shiotou Township of Changhua County and Minchien Township of Nantou County. Though having been deserted and was damaged by rain water for a long time, the trail is still the best place for hiking. The Forests lining the each side of the trail was left intact, and the landscape alongside of the road is really picturesque.
Hongshan Trail:
Route: from Line 139 to Hong Mt.
Feature: Along the side, you can overlook Changhua Plain, and the nearby cliffs and valleys. This is indeed the best place for watching Gray-faced Buzzard s in the south of Bagua Mountain Range. Aside from abundant eco-resource, on the trail, you will have a chance to appreciate the magnificent geographical sceneries. You can see the terraces carved out by Chuoshui River -the longest river in Taiwan . And in the south, overseeing Hong Mt. Cliff, you could another four terraces: Puchung, Chishan, Xonbokkeng, and Dazhiuan.
Jungjang Summit Trail:
Route: Turn right from the swim pool of Chinshuiyian in Shiotou Township of Changhua County and the trail is there.
Feature: Locating in the end of Kuanyinshanufung Trail, crossing over Lucky& Happiness Valley ,where Long Pavilion and the Sightseeing Pavilion are, and the Monument of Afforestation , you will surprisingly find out a leafy paradise of rattan growing on the way to the Hero Slope. The first splendid sight you see would be an ancient tree uprooted by ancient rattans. There are other little paths among the forests, some are smooth, but others could be terror-stricken. Yet it is not just the varied hiking experience waiting for you, for you'll surely be impressed by the abundant eco-resource everywhere, such as birds and insects. You shall never miss this trail.
Kuanyinshan Trails:
Route: Turn right in front of the swim pool of Chinshuiyian in Shiotou Township of Changhua County, go pass the entrance of First Summit and Five Summit Hiking Trails. Keep walking straight ahead, and you will reach Chinshuiyian Bridge of Chineshuiyian Recreation Park. Keep walking straight ahead, and you will find out the entrances to the Second Summit Trail and the Third Summit Trail.
Feature: The most parts of Kuanyinshan Trails spread eastward along the summits, and cross over the First Summit, the second Summit, the Third Summit, the Fourth Summit, and then to the Fifth Summit. Except for the Fourth Summit, all summits have a separate entrance. Along the road, the terrain rises and falls, turns and twists unexpectedly. At some sites, you could even see the trail in the opposite site! All in all, Kuanyinshan Trails are the best trails for hiking, exercising, recreation, sightseeing, bird-watching, butterfly-watching, and Forest SPA with wonderful scenery.
Houtanjing Hiking Trail:
Route: Houtanjing Hiking Trail is linked with Changchin Bicycle Trail.
Feature : Because Houtanjing Hiking Trail is linked with Changchin Bicycle Trail, it is often used by the tourists to go up and down the mountain. In one aspect, the trail provides a good place for physical training; in another, one can also see the beautiful scene of the West Coast of Taiwan.
