Located in the rear of the Chunhua art museum (once Chun Shan Hall),
Red Hair Well
is already three hundred years old, which is the only one aged well from Netherlands left in the middle Taiwan. When the Taiwan was occupied by the Netherlands, many preachers and soldiers came to draw water to drink. Therefore, the locals call this well “
Red Hair Well
” or “Barbarian well”.
Besides offering the drink for the locals around, the pond water is also used for making tea because of its sweet taste. There is mat shed erected around and inside it worships the Fu Da God. It can be realized that drinking water think of its source by doing this (the information resource is from the Chunhua City traveling guarding book of Chunhua City administrator 2006).
