Baozang Temple, Fenyuan
is the double “Hu-Lon” temple structure with three floors, which mainly worships the Guanyin buddha and has a long history. It’s still uncertain about the establishing era of the temple. It’s said that the treasure temple was once a small temple worshiping the Guanyin buddha and there was once from Chiayi bringing the god symbol of Matsu. With the grandeur of it, more people start to worship on it. In that, the local Yan-Gan Xu then advocated reconstructing the fortemple, which was finished in BC1733 and also invited the separated-ling statue of Matsu to worship from the Tin Hau Temple in Lukang. But according to the record of Chanhua County indication, so-called treasure temple is constructed due to the public devotion from locals’ in the BC1785. maybe it’s a bigger revision in scale.

Vun Garden Treasure Temple is one of the known Buddha relics including the other temple and three rocks” in the middle of Taiwan. So-called two temples are referred as the treasure temple of Fenyuan and the Lon-Xian Temple in Lukang and three rocks are the Tiger Rock in Hua-Tian village, the Chin-Sua Rock in Su-To and the Be-Xian Rock around the Ba-Gau Mountain in Naito City. From these, it can be known for the eminence of Treasure Temple among the temples in middles of Taiwan.
