 Er-Shui County has beautiful scenery with natural resources worthy visiting. On the way to Ming-Chen County has bamboo forest walking isle; low altitude has Monkey Protection area where monkeys will show up in the early morning or evening rarely to see.
The Monkey Protection Area occupied near 100 hectare original has more than 200 monkeys, now became 300 after 921 Chin Chin Earthquake. It's not easy to see monkeys in person because they always play seek and hide games. They only show up for searching food and stealing pineapples and oranges from farmers that make farmers hate them!
The government forest department has been working on the walk isles and viewing spots in this area, will expect to be done next year. Along the province government just finished a "king of litchi " area, where one of a litchi tree high more than 10m. Litchi taste most delicious during June and July.
On the west side of protection area close to Fang-Po square, there is a hiking slop length 5 km with many tresses besides.
At present, Er-Shui County strive for budget to add "lighting bug" camping area. Until 2003 we can expect one more interesting visiting spot.
Er-Shui Taiwan Monkey Protection Area
Located in the Chan-Hwa province, Er-Shui County where a broadleaf tree forest is. The steep slope not only maintains the aquatic environment as well as protects the life resources. You can see all kinds of broadleaf tree here. In addition, the agriculture is pretty prospective around the protection area; all types of fruit gardens help to attract Taiwan Monkeys keep staying.
