Mr. Lai Ho-Su won the name of the father of Taiwan new literature even though he majored in medication. He devoted his life fighting Japan dominated Taiwan, and was been buried in the temple in the memory of him. There is another famous poet name Chen Shu Gu was the first person went to Japan study for degree. He specialized in sarcasm poets.

Music professor Shu Chen Hwei spent all his life to collect aborigine music; his wish was to lay the foundation of Taiwan music. The culture department of the city plans to have a concert in the memory of him next year.
